We are creating a ceramics program for students to learn how to work with and create ceramic items they can take and use at home.
We have worked with air dry clay in the past, but I would like to use our class kiln and let our students have the great opportunity of creating ceramics, whether at home or in person.
Secondary grades will create cups, bowls and learn about utilities and art, and primary grades will learn about working with clay and create fun projects to learn about texture and form.
Virtual students will also have an opportunity to come and pick up clay to work on a project at home, bring it back to school so it can be fired and glazed and picked up at a later time.
