As a first year teacher, I am still in the process of building my classroom library. In first grade we read every day and are working on building our reading stamina! These books will allow my students access to engaging and meaningful stories and drive class discussions. Not only will my students have numerous topics/genres to choose from, but they will begin to develop a love for reading as I send different books home every week! As my students continue to learn at home, I am always thinking of fun ways that I can keep them engaged. Distributing whiteboards to each student would help my students conserve paper and use a tool they love in reading, writing, and math lessons!
