Fairfax High School Teacher Needs an Upgrade! Yes, I work for LAUSD and yes I have a few laptops available to me. But I am ready to upgrade my classroom into the 21st century and need to find alternatives in order to bring my Social Studies Curriculum alive. I am a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Paraguay 2003-05) and have been working for LAUSD for 10 years. I am currently the varsity volleyball coach and JV baseball coach along with boasting a 50% pass rate for my AP United States History class. My commitment to excellence is unquestionably dedicated to my students and athletes and we need help. We are a diverse group of students. Most students are already speaking two languages and are aware of global current events. Part of our curriculum is to connect past event to the present and entering the job market with real world skills. I look forward to a relationship with our donors!
