I am desperately requesting help to purchase a new laptop to teach my varied students. I have been limping through this year with my personal computer, which is a Macbook that I purchased in 2010! Unfortunately, due to recent financial burdens, I am unable to replace it. I work primarily with kids through Zoom teaching and we are constantly disrupted by my aging dinosaur of a laptop that is gasping its last breaths.
There's so many things I'm unable to do with my students because my poor Macbook can't handle the workload. I want to be able to take the students on virtual tours, play review games, have Zoom guests, and other many other ideas I have brewing for my kiddos.
Additionally, while teaching my technology classes, my laptop does not seem to have the required processing power to run all of our coding systems and some of our required programs.
I have taught over 500 students already this year, and I will continue having enrollments throughout the semester from kids all over Pennsylvania. Your donation to this project will help a young teacher doing his best to put kids first, while trying to juggle the perils of a global pandemic.
