These instruments will be used in my 5th and 6th grade classes. We will learn basic chords to pop songs that they are familiar with. Allowing them to request songs and perform them will keep them engaged. Once we get back to school, we will use these ukuleles to continue growing motor skills and introducing them to new musical terms through the various songs we will play through! The school doesn't have many materials to help engage the 5th and 6th graders in music which is why I think ukuleles will keep them motivated.
