The materials I am requesting will be beneficial to virtual learning students, as well as my in-person students. Use of an iPad will be an efficient way to conduct therapy while cleaning/disinfecting between students. There are also many speech/language apps that can be used for effective speech therapy that will keep the students engaged and motivated! Its portability will also allow me to complete screenings and interventions for students in other settings than my enclosed speech room. I will also use the iPad for virtual students as well by screen sharing so that they can participate with the same apps!
Because sharing of materials between students will be a challenge and potentially unsafe, use of an iPad, as well as creating materials for each individual student, will be critical and efficient.
I am also requesting a color printer to use for both essential paperwork needs, as well as creation of visual materials for my in-person students to use at school/take home, including students who require picture boards/schedules to keep routine, speech/language manipulatives, etc. There are many amazing products on Teachers Pay Teachers that I can purchase to print and create that my students will benefit from and enjoy.
