I am happy and willing to be back to teaching English in our 6th grade classroom! I am also happy to be wearing a mask to keep my students and colleagues safe. My former students will tell you, I have always had a great ability to project my voice. Unfortunately, with the mask covering my face, my voice turns out muffled, instruction can be hard to hear, and I end up raising my voice level increasingly throughout the day.
I have now been teaching in-person for 2 weeks and my voice is tired! I love to move around our classroom instead of standing in one place at the front. Our student desks are spread out throughout our room to maximize space between rows. This microphone will help my students hear me, with my mask on, no matter where in the class I am or where they are sitting.
