Now a feature film, The Hate U Give has impacted countless lives and I can think of no better text to open students' eyes to a broader view of the world and help more of them feel seen. This modern novel will be juxtaposed against other classics that feature civil unrest. Our unit will include a comparative analysis of classics such as Animal Farm and A Tale of Two Cities, along with The Hate U Give.
