Supplying my students with a weekly reader will help them develop concepts of print along with reading skills. Not all of my students have books or children's magazines to read at home. Each week I will assign articles for the students to read with their parents. Then, on class Zoom, we can have group conversations about what they learned from the non-fiction articles. Also, I will use the magazine during small group time. The students will cut out articles to do projects with and/or circle and highlight words we are learning.
