These letters will allow the Kindergarten 1 students at my school to learn and practice letter names and word building skills at home. Students will be able to manipulate and play with the letters to promote their literacy skills.
While learning remotely, students will be assigned synchronous and asynchronous activities that will require manipulating the letters in order for the students to learn letter names, sounds, and eventually words.
In our classroom literacy instruction and activities consistently involve the use of magnetic letters and I would like my students to have the same experiences during remote learning.
