Please help me provide my students with their own copy of "The One and Only Ivan" and "Because of Winn Dixie". Our class read both novels this school year. We all fell in love with Ivan the gorilla and Winn Dixie the dog. These stories both explore concepts such as friendship, family, and what it means to be truly at home. Both novel studies really helped unify our fourth grade class. However, it was often challenging when my students did not have their own copy. Having a class set of "Because of Winn Dixie" and "The One and Only Ivan" would ensure my students are able to follow along. This will also help support their comprehension and vocabulary skills.
