As a special education teacher in a D75 setting, my students benefit from multiple forms of differentiation and a variation of learning styles. Blended learning (remote and in-person) is the new reality. The set of tablets will allow my students to have access to digital resources to support their fundamental reading and writing skills in additional to the printed materials while building their understanding of technology. The speech-to-text and text-to-speech or read aloud capabilities will support comprehension and critical thinking skills. Additionally, by having an iPad, I will able to model assignments and provide my students with screen recordings as visual and audio reference when they are working remotely. My students deserve to have access to the resources and supports during blended learning.
