The items I have requested will make a difference in their learning by both motivating them to continue to learn but also engage in cooperative play. The clipboards will be used for writing the room to practice writing sight words and thematic vocabulary. The clipboards will also be used during outside learning when students are taking mask breaks. When outside students will be able to continue to follow along in our lesson and practice skills while sitting socially distanced outside. Expo markers will also help students continue their learning while sitting on the carpet or outside when we are using our individual whiteboards. A lot of our center activities where students practice the skills we have learned in the whole group also require students to use Expo markers.
Students work very hard during the whole group and center time and that should not go unrewarded. I have many boys and girls in my classroom that have asked for trucks during playtime. Many of the toys in our classroom have been donated by my own daughter with the toys she no longer plays with. I love to provide trucks that they can enjoy playing with at playtime and during indoor recess.
