Our students struggle to make ends meet and with an emphasis on technology and digital learning it has become even harder for our students to thrive when faced with this pandemic and their daily struggles - some including homelessness.
Students in our rural district are low income and many are esl - help our students thrive by allowing us to buy headphones for our ELA classroom and Nearpod for our virtual learners. Allowing my classroom to use Nearpod would increase motivation and gamify the learning experience.
Our students struggle with grammar and writing as well as fluency of language.
Not only would this purchase support our face to face students, many of which have no choice but to return to school due to their family situation and lack of resources, but it would also support our virtual learners and our English Language Learner population.
