These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they will each have a set of materials at their house so they can participate when we are in our small group setting. Our small group setting is focused on supporting their goals and giving individual time to work on their goals as well as challenge them. As we individualize each of our students' learning goals, we want to meet their needs by providing them with the materials to help them achieve.
My students have a big heart and one of our class rules is to always learn with a kind heart. The puppets, felt storyboards and socio-emotional cards will help build my students' socio-emotional understanding of their peers and the world around them. These materials will support some of my children's IEP social goals. My students enjoy reading and are most engaged during our storytime. They are currently building a language to retell stories we have read and build on their imaginations.
