In Junior High Math, it is required that students have calculators as a daily tool. The students will be using an individual calculator (not shared) which will be borrowed from my classroom for the year. In doing this, I will lesson the chance of the spread of COVID-19.
Calculating ratios, rates, proportions and other mathematical calculations can be a daunting mathematical task. Calculator use will improve students abilitiy to indpendently complete advanced functions. The use of calculators is getting the junior high students a skill that they will need to use in hgh school, college, and their future careers.
