The focus of my class is career readiness/pre-vocational skills. Prior to COVID, my class largely consisted of community-based learning experiences such as job fairs, visiting local trade schools, utilizing government agencies, and learning to use public transportation. However, due to ongoing health concerns, we are unable to go into the community at this time.
In order to meet the needs of the students and the course objectives, I am trying to be very creative in bringing the community/various vocations into my classroom. I am needing your help! Many of the students have limited access to technology in the home and have experienced minimal community participation, outside of my classroom. The IPads will enable the students to access virtual field trips and various community-based experiences they would not have access to, due to ongoing COVID school outing limitations.
