We are so excited to incorporate the jellyfish lamps and the polar bear aquarium to our BEARS Den. We feel these items will help create a calm, relaxing tone to our room. The books we have chosen will help our students recognize the different feelings and emotions that they feel throughout the day. We look forward to adding some games to the BEARS Den that the behavioral team can use as we teach our students about positive peer interaction and good sportsmanship. Along with teaching our students about self regulation and positive peer interaction, we are requesting carpet sweepers to help them develop life skills and learn the importance responsibility and accountability.
Our students will use these tools as they learn in a variety of ways to help them become successful in their futures as well as their interactions with others.
These tools will be used with for one on one instruction as well as in our groups meetings to teach different emotions and behaviors. They will also be used by the behavioral team to help in building community connection and individual connection with students.
