Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are encouraged to spread students out as much as possible, however; my tables are tiny and I do not have a cozy spot for the kids to go and distance from one another. I want to have a classroom rug so that my students have a comfortable and designated location to spread out on. I will also use this post-pandemic to build classroom community. In my class, we have carpet time where we would discuss classroom disagreements or build community. Having a comfortable rug for carpet time would definitely help my classroom!
