The purpose of my project is to provide students with fidget items they can keep and use in the classroom or at home when feeling anxious. I have seen a rise in anxiety attacks and social anxiety and wish to provide more for my students.
In March of 2021, when we finally had most of our students back for face-to-face learning, an EF4 tornado destroyed our school. As a result, our school now has two campuses in Newnan, and our 9th graders are starting their high school experience in a very different way!
By having coping strategies in hand, my students will be able to spend more time in the classroom. They can also use their personal fidget items at home during stressful times.
About my class
