Every student learns in a different way; some are kinetic, tactile, visual, or auditory. With STEM activities, children are invited to use whatever learning type they prefer to investigate and imagine. However, these activities tend to require specific tools, and with your donation my students can use fun to practice key developmental processes such as teamwork, hand eye coordination, perseverance, and critical thinking. Additionally, first grade is when students develop either a strong love of reading, or not. I aspire to promote a text-rich environment, and in doing so I am passionate about providing diverse, forward-thinking, and fun collection of books for students to choose from. Our school does not have a library, so it has fallen on me to provide all books for my students, and I am so excited at the prospect of filling our classroom library with these strong wonderful stories from all over the world.
