Our school is under construction and as of right now, students don't have a school library where they can physically browse through the books. I have my own library for them to pick from, but many books were left by other teachers and students haven't been interested in reading them. I have been buying books but I can't keep them on the shelves! I also don't have as diverse of a selection as I would like to have. I have no nonfiction books and a limited set of books that show diverse cultures. In the books I have chosen for this project, I am hoping that my students will be able to find a book that they are truly interested in. I want to make sure my students are able to have books that will captivate and grow their love of literature.
