The Pre-K class that I will be teaching is a new class that has been added to our building. Since we still need to practice mindful distancing, I don't have enough materials to provide each student with their own space to play due to the budget cuts the Dept of Education has been experiencing.
Although these may look like toys for the students, these manipulative will build my students' imagination and creativity through play. Using these manipulatives, students practice decision making, develop concentration and perseverance skills while learning about cause and effect, and how to solve problems. They explore patterns through sequencing, colors, ordering, and comparison.
