The use of the flexible seats and the two bean bags would be used as a means to promote flexible seating in the classroom. My goal is to create a classroom environment that will help them learn and give them the emotional learning skills they need to thrive in the classroom setting. After starting their first year of school completely online during COVID, some of my students are having a difficult time adjusting to that classroom environment. The use of the silent fidget tools would help them keep their body active while helping them stay focused and being productive in the classroom environment.
The use of the laminating sheets and the plastic pouches to create math workplaces for my students. ( Mathematics- 1.OA.A.1 and 1.NBT.C.4)
In my classroom, we use the whiteboard almost every day. The use of the erasers and whiteboard markers would be to practice writing sentences on whiteboards to improve their writing skills. (Writing W1.1 and Language 1.1) Their fine motor skills would benefit from extra writing practice after having spent a year completely online. These tools and materials will help my students set up for success for this new school year.
