These computers will be lent out to our students, most of whom are fresh out of incarceration. The computers will be used to log on to online college classes, submit work, and engage with colleagues via virtual platforms.
Formerly incarcerated students have a constellation of reentry needs. For students who have spent multiple years incarcerated, access to technology is a significant barrier to pursuing postsecondary education. As Covid-19 has forced colleges to pivot to online models, and as it becomes more likely that online learning is here to stay, people without access to essential technology are being left behind. Your donation will help aspiring students pursue a college education by ensuring technology won't be a barrier.
