Students will be using these watercolor sets to paint realistic animals in a naturalistic setting. Students will first research and draw an animal of their choosing while paying close attention to details and natural setting. This watercolor project aligns to state, national and city standards for painting and allows students to explore the art making process of the watercolor medium while still giving students the element of choice in their work. This project gives students the opportunity to demonstrate craftsmanship with a focus on how to represent the natural world.
