The 2020 school year has brought much change and unknown into my 3rd grade classroom. While I am used to greeting my students each morning with a hug and a hello, I am now starting my day with the click of a button to begin my virtual classroom. I am recreating curriculum, absorbing all the tech tips and tricks I can find, trying to create normalcy with new strategies and routines, and encouraging an engaging, supportive, and digitally safe classroom community. Every day presents unique opportunities for both myself and my students and I am loving the sea of smiling faces looking back at me from my screen, eager to learn something new! However, this new digital learning environment comes with unique needs for reliable technology. With those 28 smiling faces looking back at me each day, even the simplest of tasks become challenging with my current technology - it is difficult to share my screen, play short videos for engagement, or add any extensions that would help to enhance my teaching. An ASUS ExpertBook would allow me to be able to reach my students across a screen - make connections with them, encourage their efforts, provide ways to differentiate, and create the type of successful learning experience that they deserve!
