In this complicated, ever-changing world, it is important to discuss current events that are affecting our lives. Scholastic News will help facilitate appropriate conversations in the classroom and at home.
We will use this magazine every week in reading class. We will analyze the text using our third-grade reading standards and ask our students to respond verbally and in writing. Ultimately, we will have guided classroom discussions, where student’s voices will be heard. This is a wonderful opportunity to ease students into the world of current events in the elementary classroom.
