The books will help teachers and students develop social skills, build relationships, manage emotions, and cope with stress. Students and teachers will be able check out books to learn skills that will help them develop a growth mindset, aiding in all subject areas and life in general. Teachers can use the books for lesson planning, in lessons, or just to have in their classroom for student use. Care was taken in selection to provide diverse characters and authors so that there is representation of all students in our school.
The print resources will be added to the library collection, so they will be available to all students and teachers. I would also like to provide a welcoming space for students and teachers who would like a quiet calm place to unwind, destress, or put their mind at ease creating simple crafts or art projects.
