My students will be participating in a novel study this year with The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. We will be exploring coming of age titles later on in the school year while also taking a look at how these novels relate to real world situations they may find themselves in now and later on down the road. This novel is a great story of friendship and self discovery. Teens struggle with their identity on a daily basis as they go through life, and knowing who your friends are and how to step up when you need to will help make the journey through the teen years a little easier.
