Building this library will continue to support a classroom full of readers that I strive to create. As a new teacher, my library is fairly limited. I am aiming to build it up and fill the library with books for the students to read to themselves or for me to read with them. Every book that's added to my library is treated with care, love, and genuine gratitude for its existence. This project is important for my classroom. These students crave the opportunity to read. In order to give my students a choice in their learning, I need to be able to provide those choices.
These sets of books have been chosen with my students' learning in mind. I have chosen a variety of fiction and nonfiction readers so they can have a choice in the books they read, allowing them to enjoy their independent reading time. For my at-home learners, I will be able to record read-aloud and read with them during our Zoom lessons more often. This will all of my students to have exposure to various stories and informational readings from my classroom library.
