My students have minimal to no verbal communication skills and they rely on alternative modes of expression, to interact with others. These Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems, funding for paper and colored ink, batteries, and musical instruments will help my students gain access to expressive and receptive communication, in order to communicate with family, friends, and teachers. Many of my students have vision challenges as well, and they benefit from auditory stimulation, tactile supports and sound to access learning. Musical instruments will help my students remain engaged and participate in song, during virtual learning remote speech and language therapy sessions.
