Over the course of 6-8 weeks we listen to the audio version of a story read aloud. Everyday before starting a new set of chapters we talk about and review what we read the previous day and at the end of the week the students take a short quiz of the chapters we read. After we finish the book, if there is a movie we watch it. Then after reading the book and watching the movie we create a Venn Diagram comparing and contracting the book and movie. The kids love it!
