My students can hear me clearly during our classroom lessons, however many of our lessons require them to use their technology. Having headphones will help them cancel out background noise to keep them engaged. The students will be proud to have their own set of headphones. With each online activity, the students’ confidence in reading and math will improve. The students will listen to stories using their headphones as well as listen to math instructions and have word problems read to them. They can adjust the volume accordingly to hear the pronunciation of words. The students can reread a story or have the directions or questions repeated. This is really helpful for ELLs since their English skills are so low.
