The materials I am requesting will help me build STEM activity boxes for my students to use in the classroom. Hands-on experiences are important for students to learn and grow, not only as students, but as future STEM career candidates. Currently, I am struggling to provide engaging hands-on activities for my students because of the safety measures in place due to the pandemic. The tools and activities I have chosen for my STEM boxes can be easily cleaned and sanitized between uses, to not only keep my students engaged in learning, but safe. While technology plays an important role in education and future STEM careers, students also need opportunities to build, create, and problem solve in a safe and creative way. Through these STEM activities, my students will be able to use critical thinking skills to complete challenges, or just use their imagination and creativity to build and create new things.
