Hand activities created by these requested items like the magna tiles, motion bubblers, fidget snake cubes, gear building toy, Spot It game, magnetic building sticks blocks, and Geoboards will help students to refocus and provide an opportunity to relax. The Supermaze Wooden Bead Activity would be a great tabletop conversation starter and the Rope Basket would be a convenient container to store my supply of Legos.
We have a room that is called the PAWS room, which stands for Positive Actions Win Success. We use STEM activities and also fidget tools in order open the conversation window. Students who need a pause from class, for whatever reason, come to the PAWS room for a short visit. This gives them the opportunity to cool down, refocus and get back on track. Our goal is to help students have the ability to spend the greatest amount of time in the classroom learning. The classroom is the best place for our students! The materials and STEM items I am requesting are essential for my students. I am that "go to" person that students know will always be there and help them through the day. My focus here is to give students the ability to cope with life issues and stay focused so they can do their best! Let's get back in the classroom!
