These dramatic play items are an important part of our 4K classroom. They help connect our students to real life behaviors, actions, and roles. All of the items will be used throughout our different themes in the course of our school year. Some of the themes we will use these dramatic play items in are Family, Grocery, Restaurant, Medical, Camping, and others as well. With the current trend being all about test scores and less about letting kids be kids, I feel it is my duty to make learning as meaningful and engaging as I can for my students, while also making it fun! By immersing our students in their play, they do not realize how much they are actually learning. We embed math and literacy skills throughout our themes and centers. These items will help engage my students and make their play meaningful.
