My students have yet to be exposed to a partnership with other classes. My artists will be learning the value of donating their time and creativity to help spread positive messages throughout the school using Scribble Stones. The rocks will be used in conjunction with an SEL lesson using with the read aloud, The Scribble Stones. My art students will personalize Scribble Stones to encourage others and to decorate the new L.L. Hotchkiss Community Garden. This project will show them the importance of being a part of something bigger than themselves. I want my artists to have this exposure of participating in kind acts in order to help build positive character skills.
