Flexible seating will provide my students with the sensory input they need to successfully learn and accommodate their needs. These seats will allow my students to successfully and independently support their movement needs without interpreting instruction or distracting their peers. Giving them choices such as bean bag chairs, seat cushions, laying on a rug with pillows or balance balls will allow them to be in control of their environment and allows them to succeed at their academics. Having the different textures and seating positions gets their bodies ready to activate their brains.
