The students will be learning all about the election process, current candidates, political campaigns, policies, debates, and national/international topics. They will have a mock election in class as well. Reading The Kid Who Ran for President will be a great way to tie in the election with literacy. Paperback books would be great, instead of digital copies. I am hoping to reduce screen time and give the kids an opportunity to get whisked away in a book! Let's keep the kids love for reading books strong during remote learning! The book I chose will help the students learn about the election and keep them reading!

About my class
