My students need to be able to experience the locations we talk about in our World History studies, even though we are in a global pandemic. My students come from a rural area that has felt the recent economic downturn.
Using virtual reality goggles will allow my students to travel to exotic lands and historical events without ever leaving our high school campus. We have access to smart and mobile devices, but no goggles to use them with.
These students may never get the chance to experience these places and events in their lifetimes outside of this setting. They have had some experience with virtual reality and crave this type of interaction. These materials would be available for other teachers and subjects to use.
