Since September 14th, public schools in my area have opened schools for full, in-person learning. Even though we practiced all the proper safety procedures and safeguards, in October, a few of my students and I tested positive for Covid-19. Our class immediately began our isolation and quarantine in an attempt to contain the spread. Two weeks later, we were thankfully back at school! My kindergarten students continue to stay in the stable pod in our classroom from arrival time to dismissal time. We wear masks and face shields all day. We wash our hands often and we try to keep a safe distance. Our school's custodians sweep the floor and empty the trash, but with our small staff, I'm certain our floor rarely gets mopped.
I always keep our space spiffy clean, but I need to step up my efforts! Kindergarteners work and play on the floor all day long. It's natural for the little ones. I want to be confident that all the surfaces in our room are sanitary and safe. With these vacuums and mop, I will be able to do that for my kids. We can't have another Covid-19 diagnosis.
