These materials will make a difference by allowing students to be engaged in the reading, such as story retelling with picture cards, writing prompts, and anchor charts to use as references in learning. Students will be able share their thoughts and ideas and put them Into writing for everyone to share at once. Chaining is a concept that requires students to blend and segment words that require them to move pieces to form words in the pocket chart without a student having to hold them up while using the pocket chart stand.
