COVID restrictions have really changed the way a classroom runs. My 6 and 7-year-old students are expected to sit in the same seat for the majority of their school day, including lunch and specials. Everything is currently coming to them in our classroom. The only time they are able to move freely is during recess. These are restrictions that most adults would struggle with, yet they do it with a smile. I am constantly trying to find new ways to get them out of their seats but much of their day is still spent there.
These stools and cushions will be helpful by allowing them to get their wiggles out while staying seated, allowing them to continue learning. As a new teacher, I don't have as many seating options as veteran teachers do. Having these would help them immensely.
