Starting on October 1st, my students are working from home 3 days a week. I want to offer them an opportunity to log into class and stream in class live even if they are home working remotely. Have a camera set up that allows tracking my movements without interference is crucial for the live streaming experience. In addition, this will allow students to get the same information as the students that are actually sitting in the classroom. I don't want students watching boring YouTube videos that I make about the classroom lesson when I can easily have them tuning in live.
In addition, my students need additional novels for the classroom because they can't share books due to COVID-19. During these uncertain times, it is critical that students are reading literature that they can connect to. Therefore, I have selected a classroom set of Turtles All The Way Down that focuses on mental illness, anxiety, and how to deal with these conditions. It is important that students can connect and learn from this book so they are better prepared to deal with mental illness when it appears in their lives.
