All of my students have some sort of learning disability. This makes completing online assignments at home even more difficult. Luckily, my school has provided the first two hours of the day for my fellow Special Education teacher and I to pull students and help them catch up on their work. We are finding that most students that are failing are doing so because of their distance learning assignments. We are only able to help one at a time due to a Chromebook shortage.
Having more Chromebooks will allow us to assist more students at once. The goal is for no child to fail. At this rate, we are only getting through one student's missing assignments a day. All the while they are being assigned 10-14 more for the week from their various classes.
