We are teaching students not only to recognize the kindness of others, but to also be kind to others. We plan to recognize those in our school that go unrecognized. We also plan to create a kindness display to show how easy being kind can be and also how much small acts of kindness can make a difference in so many people's lives. We want to have a small token of kindness available to new students that come to our school to help welcome them and introduce them to one club they could join. Most of this will be done in the school setting.
We are developing a Kindness Council to promote positivity. This group will reach out by contacting people in our school setting and giving them a boost with a small token gift and a warm personal note. Our hope is that the students will remember the good feeling they had by serving others and continue to do so on their own.
We hope to also work on community projects to support those in need. In the past we have been able to spread kindness by volunteer work at food pantries and with coat drives.
