My low SES and Title 1 school has students of various needs. I have purchased many items for my classroom, but we're needing a little help to update some of our essential supplies. For example, we need a heavy duty stapler that gets dropped many times by little hands learning to load and use office equipment. I try to teach them life skills, so they will learn how to function in a world they will encounter. I have classroom jobs that they receive a "payday" for keeping our classroom clean and functioning. Students help clean, organize, use, and keep functioning our supplies such as wipes, pens, pencils, classroom library, dusting, charging our outdated ipads we use for vocabulary games, etc. There are various items and resources that I would like to have to make their school experience more exciting such as a soccer ball for recess and learning center games for reading at the Teacher Pay Teacher site. I have 4th grade students that read everywhere between PrePrimer to 6th grade that could use reading resources of varied levels. Lastly, I would like to have a tuckus update for the teacher. With all the late evenings and weekends working at the school, I need a supportive task chair as I prep and prepare for my students. I want to be the best teacher I can because they deserve that.
