Teaching in the Mississippi Delta comes with its unique challenges on teaching and learning on a regular basis. The toll that COVID has taken on the community is ever present, but that has not stopped my students from working hard each day to learn. We are all so excited to soon be reunited in our classroom, but with that comes some fear of safety for all. The air purifier that will go into the classroom will allow students to breath cleaner air to safe guard against sickness and allergies as we return to school. Face shields will allow families to be more at ease about the safety of their children in the classroom. The pencil pouches will also allow a safe, accessible, and portable place for students to keep their supplies separated from others.
