My students have been learning remotely since March. As a first year teacher this school year, I am doing everything I can to build rapport and a positive classroom environment to help engage our students. These materials will go towards my classroom as we transition into a hybrid model, where we have small cohorts in our classroom at a social distance. This transition will be a challenge for my students, as they have not been at the school since March. I want to welcome them safely and warmly, so these supplies will help contribute to that healthy environment. My classroom is bare bones and has no windows for natural light, but I want to make sure that students feel like they can engage in learning comfortably.
Please consider donating if you can to help ensure that my students have what they need to succeed within these challenging times. My goals for students to who are going to use these resources are that they are able to feel comfortable within my classroom, actively engage and participate with the material, and view school as a positive environment. I think these materials will be handy for many different lessons, as students need an engaging environment in order to learn. A student learning outcome for this project is that students will be able to engage in conversations and dialogues while learning in a safe and comfortable environment that fosters creativity.
